The success of Troop 1 has been, and continues to be, dependent upon the full participation of the Scout's parents/guardians.
As a parent/guardian, you will naturally want your Scout to get the most out of Scouting. To help ensure their success you will need to regularly monitor our Troop Calendar, encourage him to advance and progress through the Scouting program, make sure that he attends meetings and outings and help him master the skills of Scouting.
Your Scout's success also depends upon the success of the Troop. You can help ensure the Troop's success with your contribution of talents and time. Opportunities to contribute are many and may include: Serving on the Troop Committee, providing transportation for outings, assisting with organizing and participating in Troop events, helping to maintain Troop equipment, serving as a Merit Badge Counselor in a field with which you are familiar and helping to maintain the Troop's unique facility and grounds. There is a variety of ways in which you can invest in your Scout's future through direct involvement in the Troop.
Your participation in Troop activities and your contribution to its success will demonstrate to your Scout that you support his efforts, enjoyment, and advancement and that you want him to have the best Scouting experience possible.
