Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is:
Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful,
Friendly, Courteous, Kind,
Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty,
Brave, Clean, Reverent

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and to develop personal fitness.

Scouting promises you the great outdoors, friendship, opportunities to work toward the Eagle Scout rank, the tools to help you make the most of your family, community and nation, as well as experiences and duties that will help you mature into strong and wise adults.

The goal of Troop 1 is to deliver the mission and purpose of Scouting through fun, adventure, learning and leadership opportunities.
